목적격 관계대명사 기초 이론
관계대명사? 관계? -> 두 문장을 이어준다.
This is the bike. I bought it last week.
-> This is the bike which I bought last week. (두 문장이 하나가 되었다)
관계대명사? 대명사? -> 앞 문장의 명사를 대신해서 쓰는 말이다.
-> This is the bike which I bought last week. ( which 는 앞의 bike 를 가리킨다)
목적격 관계대명사? 목적격? -> 앞 문장의 명사를 대신해서 쓰는 말이 두 번째 문장에서 목적어 자리다.
-> This is the bike which I bought last week. (bought 의 목적어가 없다. 그게 바로 which 자리이다)
결론 : 두 문장을 이어주면서 앞의 명사를 대신해서 쓰는 말입니다.
목적격 관계대명사 사용 방법은?
아주 간단합니다.
두 문장에서 같은 명사 두 개(두 번째 문장은 대명사)를 찾으세요.
This is the bike. I bought it last week.
그런 다음 두 번째 문장의 그 명사(it)를 관계대명사로 바꾸고,
This is the bike. I bought which last week.
그런 다음 앞 문장의 그 명사 다음에 쓰고 나머지를 씁니다.
This is the bike which I bought last week. 짜잔~~ 아주 쉽죠?
이 목적격 관계대명사는 생략이 가능합니다! (중요)
사람이면 who 나 whom 혹은 that 을 사용하거나 생략해서 안쓰고,
사물이면 which 나 that 을 사용하거나 생략해서 안씁니다.
즉,
This is the bike that I bought last week. 이렇게 써도 되구요
= This is the bike I bought last week. 이렇게 써도 됩니다.
그런데 주의할 점이 있어요. (이 부분 학생들이 많이 실수합니다. 그래서 시험에 많이 출제됩니다)
다음 두 문장을 연결해 보아요.
The mobile phone is out of order. + I bought it last weekend.
전화기 고장났어. + 나 그거 지난 주말에 샀어.
틀린 답 : The mobile phone is out of order which I bought last weekend.
아, 반복되는 명사 두 개가 있었죠?
그럼, 그 중 첫 번째 명사(선행사) 뒤에 관계대명사를 쓰고 그 명사를 뺀 나머지를 씁니다.
정답 : The mobile phone which I bought last weekend is out of order.
정답 : The mobile phone that I bought last weekend is out of order.
정답 : The mobile phone I bought last weekend is out of order.
오, 이거 시험에 많이 나와요.
관계대명사절은 반복되는 첫 번째 명사 다음에 쓰자!
그리고 이렇게 시험에 나오기도 해요. (이것도 제법 많이 출제됩니다. 당연히 중요하죠)

무엇이 이상하죠?
네, 목적격 관계대명사가 phone 다음에 생략되어 있군요?
그래서 그 다음 부분에 '전화기' 가 생략되어야 하는데???

그래서 쓰는 출제되는 유형이
목적격 관계대명사를 생략한 뒤 그 뒷부분에 목적어를 슬쩍 써 놓는다!
결론: 목적격 관계대명사가 있는지를 파악하여, 설령 생략된 관계대명사 뒤에라도 목적어가 없어야 한다!

주어 + 목적격관계대명사 + 동사는 2개!!!
-> 이 때, 두 번째 동사가 진짜동사!(이 진짜 동사를 '준동사'로 바꿔 출제합니다.)
준동사가 뭔지 모른다고요?
준동사는 '부정사, 동명사, 분사'를 뜻하는 말이며,
준동사는 '동사의 개수로 치지 않는다'는 것이 핵심입니다.
원래문제 : The mobile phone I bought last weekend to be out of order. (X)
정답 : The mobile phone I bought last weekend is out of order. (O)
